Kick-off Meeting: Wednesday 4.4.2007, 2 PM, (IRF/OH 8, R.108)
Seminar:
- 1st Day: Monday 4.6.2007, 9 AM - 4 PM, IRF/OH 8, "FINCA"
- 2dn Day: Monday 18.6.2007, 1 PM - 6 PM, IRF/OH 8 "FINCA"
Trends in miniaturization of computing devices and sensor elements make it possible to embedd aspects of computational intelligence into collaborative working environments, private homes or even public spaces. The presence of the embedded computing devices is then no longer apparent to people using those intelligent spaces - a development that follows the vision of the "vanishing computer" put forward by the pervasive and ubiquitous computing commmunity. The goal of this seminar is to explore various aspects of intelligent spaces concerning enabiling technologies, relevant aspects of man-machine interaction, and implications of the deployment of such systems. Those topics will be complemented by case studies of intelligent spaces realized in actual research projects.
